Informations about the data base used in this visualization
The data refers to the research of the 2000 Census, 2010 Census and Social Progress Index (IPS) IMAZON. The Census is a survey that happens every 10 years, in which census takers go from house to house filling out a huge registry with detailed information about the country’s population. The IPS, on the other hand, carries information about the Legal Amazon’s socio-environmental performance.

Attention: This visualization is fed by data processed through the datazoom.amazonia package in R (load_ips() function) e from the datazoom social package in Stata (datazoom_censo[, options] function) and is subject to error in the face of changes in external sources. If the user identifies any discrepancy in information, we request that you report it in our GitHub Issues page.
