Although the Legal Amazon’s participation in foreign trade is low, many countries have increased the volume of purchases of products from the region. The graph below shows the main destination countries for products from the Legal Amazon in each year between 1997 and 2021. Each flow line represents the total value exported in dollars. The user chooses the reference period and the type of exported product. For example, in 2021, the countries that purchased the most Mineral Products were China (US$13 billion), Malaysia (US$1.7 billion) and Japan (US$0.8 billion).
